Encouraging Recycling
FREE recycling for BID businesses.
In 2023 the BID partnered with waste providers KP Waste to provide a free recycling scheme for all levy paying businesses.

The aim of the scheme is to:

save businesses money

promote and encourage recycling

reduce carbon emissions and traffic in the town centre
-
provide a more sustainable town centre.

Award winning BID funded floral displays in Welwyn Garden City town centre

​The flower installations are just one of the projects/campaigns working towards achieving these objectives. The BID identified that the flowers would have most impact in the concrete areas of the town, particularly in front of The Howard Centre.
